Langley Mill Academy

Welcome from the Headteacher

Langley Mill Academy is a school that is proud to serve its community.

We all want the best for our fantastic pupils and we recognise that it is our responsibility to provide  an unforgettable school journey that inspires a life-long passion for learning.  Children will learn through carefully planned sequences of learning and meaningful experiences so that they acquire the knowledge and skills they need to be successful and grow as responsible, active citizens of the future. Visits, visitors, clubs and enrichment opportunities enhance our curriculum and provide pupils with experiences that offer windows and mirrors to our world - this can only happen as our staff do that bit extra to make a difference.  We care, we listen, we help and we will reflect.

We pride ourselves on an inclusive culture, where every child is valued as a unique individual and given the opportunities needed to be the best they can be. Safeguarding children, relationships and the fostering of intrinsic values are at the centre of our approach. We aim to support all of our pupils to be respectful & kind with growing determination & confidence: children aspire, dream big,  work hard and are successful.

The importance of working with our parents, carers, families and wider community cannot be underestimated. We are lucky to be at the heart of a such a supportive school community that so often comes together to recognise and celebrate our pupils’ achievements. We are proud of our inclusive approach and the special place our Deaf & Hearing Impaired community have within our school: it enriches us all.

I hope you enjoy your visit to our website & I look forward to welcoming you into school. In the meantime, please have a look what we are up to in our weekly newsletter - we have lots to share!
